Dek 1 Posted November 27, 2012 Ciao a tutti, visto che Natale si sta avvicinando, stavo pensando di far trovare sotto l'albero a mio papà qualche "ricettario" di birre all grain. Mi spiego, vorrei uno (o più) libri che non spieghino solo la storia, gli stili, le tecniche di birrificazione, ma che diano consigli su ricette, utilizzo dei lieviti e tutto quello che può servire a riprodurre certi stili di birra a casa. santa 185 Posted November 27, 2012 io appoggio brew like a monk e rilancio progettare grandi birre (in italiano, ma se preferisci in inglese lo si trova pure come designing great beers). quest'ultimo non fornisce vere e proprie ricette ma per gli stili classici elenca gli ingredienti più utilizzati nelle competizioni usa, percui ricavi dati sui malti usati per ogni stile, le quantità , la frequenza con cui vengono usati, idem per i luppoli ovviamente e consiglia quali lieviti usare. oltre a un tot di teoria nella prima parte del libro che male non fa. Dek 1 Posted November 27, 2012 Grazie delle info! In italiano va benissimo!! (ho messo gli altri due in inglese solo perché non li ho trovati in italiano). Quindi progettare grandi birre è un libro più generico su materie prime e tecniche, ho capito bene? IO al momento ho quello di Bertinotti, che trovo molto ben fatto, soprattutto per iniziare, ma ora mi piacerebbe qualche approfondimento. Invece brew like a monk (credo che brewing with weat sia il suo analogo per birre di frumento) è più un ricettario? Nel senso, trovo anche delle schede su come riprodurre una determinata birra, tipo: prendi 5kg di malto tal dei tali ecc...? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Io cercavo qualcosa più tipo ricettario, da quel che riesco a capire dall'indice le ricette vere e proprie in Radical Brewing sono solo nei cap da 7 a 11, sbaglio? Dek 1 Posted December 3, 2012 WOW, sono un bel po' di ricette!! Forse alla fine mi dirigerò su radical brewing come libro "generico" in più prenderò un ricettario ( o due) su qualche stile specifico. Ho letto molto bene di how to brew, ma mi sembra un po' più di base, e forse si andrebbe a sovrapporre al manuale di Bertinotti... Grazie a tutti delle dritte!
